84. For Ukraine. Myles Goodwyn. Nova Scotia, Canada. 04/26/22
We transcend time and space to Nova Scotia to discuss the Russian invasion and War in Ukraine with the one and only Myles Goodwyn. Myles was inspired by the suffering in Ukraine to write, For Ukraine. A song in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Myles and Dave talk about the dark side of humanity. The need of some to take from others and to use prejudice and force to put them down. Dave and Myles touch on another violent struggle over land in how First Nations people were and are treated in Canada. Myles is releasing, Long Pants, on his birthday in June. It includes, For Ukraine, as well as songs addressing residential schools in Canada and Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women. Myles hopes his songs motivate people to support Ukraine by making a donation to the Red Cross or Ukrainian Canadian Congress.
