02-21 - The World Needs More Chamber Folk Pandemy Rock. Dayna Manning. Stratford, Ontario. 04/08/21
Dave transcends time and space to talk with author, producer, digital dominator, singer, songwriter, teacher, mentor, Dayna Manning from Stratford, Ontario. The economic uncertainty of the pandemy reminds Dayna of a previous economic uncertainty she experienced, streaming! Although music streaming has many positives, fairly compensating artists isn’t one of them. Dayna shares her knowledge with others as localizing and community building are driving pandemy positivity. Thanks to community support and a Factor grant Dayna has been enteprenuiring her way through the pandemy sharing her music and collaborating with others. With the help of Ben Bolt Martin, Dayna is excited to tour her Chamber Folk album after the pandemy lockdowns ease up. She shares that being the first performers, with Colton Curtis, in the new Tom Patterson Theatre was a memory to last a life time!
Shout out to John Beatle Bailey’s win at the Canadian Folk Music Awards for Refuge.
